Successful people know that the key is speaking up.
from INSEAD, The Open University of Israel and The Technion. People assume that others have the same ideas as them. Like many assumptions, this assumption is often incorrect. The danger of believing in this assumption can stop you from acting, whether that is presenting your idea in a meeting, writing an article on a topic or starting a business venture. Stop thinking that you do not have unique ideas, because you do.
This is particularly true if your background is different from most people in your company, field or industry. That is, your background and expertise will shape ideas that are different from the people with whom you are working. You may have been trained differently, read different resources or network with a different circle of professionals. All of these elements shape what you think. If you approach your work with a different lens, it is likely that you will have different ideas.
