Don't get me wrong, I'm not for a second denying the importance of maths in the world, and if you're somebody who enjoys numbers and wants to go into a maths related career, then more power to you. But forcing those who struggle with numbers to take the subject further than the GCSE? Thanks, but no thanks.So why should these children be given the added stress of preparing for more exams, especially if they need to study for a GCSE retake?
And does Rishi's plans take into account children who have additional educational needs, who may seriously struggle with doing maths exams?The UK is falling apart. NHS waiting lists are soaring, strikers aren’t being listened to, mental health services are on their knees, even food banks are having to close down.
