The Rams entered as 3.5-point favorites before losing their fifth consecutive head-to-head matchup against the 49ers in blowout fashion. The Rams had won four straight games at SoFi Stadium to open the 2020 season and the 49ers were without their starting quarterback due to an injury, but backup Nick Mullens led San Francisco to a victory anyway as Robert Saleh’s defense stepped up in a major way. In keeping with the theme for several 49ers wins, they easily won the time of possession battle as the offense kept the ball for more than 34 minutes while gaining 112 yards on 33 rushing attempts.
