When the Yankees were in London, I asked Reggie Jackson about filming “The Naked Gun,” which had a Queen Elizabeth impersonator. He told me he once met the real Queen before a game. According to 44, she was impressed that he took off his ballcap, which she called a “bonnet.”RIP to the Queen…70 years on the throne. It is amazing to think how the large the difference is between the world she inherited at her crowning vs the one she departs.
