Fahim Saleh was attacked in his luxury Manhattan condo on Tuesday afternoon, his body gruesomely dismembered in what police believe may have been 'a professional job'

The body of 33-year-old tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh had been cut limb from limb and shoved into trash bags scattered around his apartment. On Wednesday, an NYPD official told the New York Times that the murder “looked like a professional job.”
Saleh began building websites in his teens, starting with a platform his family could use to plan events, and branching out to a blog where his friends could chat. In college, he created a Facebook-based food-delivery app for fellow students; after he graduated, he made PrankDial.com, a website where users could purchase and send prerecorded calls.
How did Fahim Saleh die? Although investigators do not yet know precisely how Saleh died, based on footage from security cameras, they believe that on Tuesday, his attacker — masked and dressed entirely in black — followed him from his luxury condominium’s elevator into his apartment. Video shows Saleh struggling with the assailant, who appears to have deployed a stun gun. He began dismembering Saleh’s body “some time after” that, the Times reports.
Investigators currently suspect that this person fled through the home’s back entrance and down the stairs, although it remains unclear how they entered the building — which does not have an attendant at the door but does, allegedly, have heavy security measures — to begin with. Still, a police spokesperson told the Times, the crime scene suggested that Saleh’s death may have been a “hit.
