Who is hosting the Oscars? The US host is Jimmy Kimmel, the fourth time he has taken the reins of the programme. There are only five people who have hosted it more -Bob Hope: 19 times ; Billy Crystal: nine times ; Johnny Carson: five times ; Whoopi Goldberg: four times and Jack Lemmon: four times .
