After Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony, many wondered whether federal prosecutors were watching and listening. Turns out, they definitely were.
whether the United States can “handle” the prosecution of a former president. It was a provocative question — the host is hardly the only one asking it — though it’s unfortunate that we even have to wonder whether our country is capable of withstanding such a development.
The Times’ report, which has not been independently verified by MSNBC or NBC News, added that some of the information shared by Hutchinson in her sworn testimony was “largely new” to Justice Department officials and “grabbed their attention.” For the former president’s critics, that’s probably encouraging. Indeed, an ABC News/Ipsos poll from a few weeks ago found thatbelieve Trump should be criminally charged for his role in the Jan. 6 attack.
