A new Blade and Morbius fan poster imagines Marvel's resident vampire and its vampire hunter crossing over in an epic clash that calls back to the original Wesley Snipe movie posters.
A fan poster joins Wesley Snipes’ Blade with Jared Leto’s Morbius. Leto is set to star in Marvel’s latest superhero film, bringing to life one of Spider-Man’s classic villains and depicting his origins as Dr. Michael Morbius, a man whose attempts to cure himself of a rare blood disease inadvertently turn him into a vampire.
While a live-action portrayal of Morbius was previously entertained as a possible addition to 2002’s Blade sequel, the character ultimately did not make an appearance after Stephen Norrington, who played Dr. Morbius in the 1998 original, opted out of the project. Despite this, fans have been teased with a possible crossover since 2019, when Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed a new Blade film was in the works, starring Mahershala Ali.
With solo films for both Morbius and Blade awaiting release, an official announcement on a potential crossover will likely have to wait. Despite this, it remains possible that behind-the-scenes discussions have taken place, particularly with the support of Feige, relating to a collaboration between the two characters.
