The business has been operating for 58 years, but if things don't change it looks like it might not make it to 60.
“It’s not even hidden anymore,” Scott told the Post-Gazette. “It’s not even in the shadows anymore. It’s right out in the open. It’s getting to be too much.”
Per the Post-Gazette, the restaurant owner’s statements came on the same day that Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey said he planned to make Downtown “cleaner and safer,” and Scott said there has been an increased police presence in the area. But, he said, “nothing has changed.It definitely doesn’t sound fun.
“We don’t want to come across as anti-homeless,” he said. “They are people who genuinely need help and we feel they are being failed by whatever system is in place.”
