The one thing he is certain of, though, is that Julio Jones is number one.
On the surface, it doesn’t sound like a tough task, but Amari Cooper just couldn’t do it.
The Cleveland receiver, who played his college ball at Alabama, was recently asked to rank the top 5 top receivers in Crimson Tide history. He tried a number of different strategies to come to a top-5 solution, but, at the end of the day, he just threw his hands up in frustration. Every time it appears he had narrowed down the list, another Tide receiver’s name popped in his head.
In this case, he named Jones, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and Henry Ruggs. He seemed confident the top 5 would come from those six receivers, then remembered Jameson Williams. After that, he just gave up.
