Police arrested a 44-year-old man from Bloomington, Ind., for allegedly vandalizing the monument at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, the U.S. Park Police said in a statement Wednesday morning. He was charged with trespassing, tampering and vandalism, police said. An investigation into the incident is continuing.
