DENVER — Without their defensive ace Draymond Green, the Warriors on Thursday struggled to contain two-time reigning MVP Nikola Jokic.
The game flipped in favor of the Nuggets in the second half. Golden State trailed by only one at the break, but were outscored 35-22 in a sloppy third quarter, during which the Warriors committed eight of their 17 turnovers. Green and Curry were listed as questionable in the hours before the game but coach Steve Kerr said he anticipated them both to be available for the game. Curry got the green light to start but Green was a late scratch after he experienced tightness in his right calf after warmups.
