Sgt Rachel Bright, 45, is accused of touching a woman without her consent while off duty in Wandsworth, south London, on 5 December 2022.
She appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court but no pleas were entered. She was granted bail on the condition she did not contact the victim. Sgt Bright, who has been suspended from duty, is due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on 6 November. The officer, of Buckland Way, Worcester Park, south-west London, works in the force's south-west command unit.
