Colorado voters on Tuesday appeared to have decided against allowing third-party companies the ability to deliver alcoholic beverages, a victory for small, independent liquor stores that actively campaigned against the measure.
The “no” contingent on Proposition 126 garnered 52.89% of the more than 1.66 million votes cast, according to the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office.
A coalition of independent liquor stores declared victory late Tuesday night, saying voters “clearly have doubts about whether giant out-of-state corporations would support Colorado’s craft beverage industry like our current independent local liquor stores do.”
