Ashley Dale was shot dead after her killers were trying to hunt for her boyfriend.
The voice of a council worker shot dead was heard in court allegedly revealing the 'motive behind the attack' after she was fatally shot due to a row at Glastonbury festival that reignited a feud.
He claimed he was hunting for her boyfriend Lee Harrison before entering and shooting her with a machine gun. He told the court Miss Dale had attended Glastonbury festival in June that year with her boyfriend Lee Harrison. Four of the men accused of her murder - Sean Zeisz, 28, Niall Barry, 26, Ian Fitzgibbon, 28 and James Witham, 41 - were also there.
"I would rather split up with him than me fall out with everyone. Youse are me mates and I love youse." Sophie then asked whether the dispute was concerning an incident "three years ago" when "the Hillsiders robbed him". Ashley said of this: "Lee never took his side and they was best mates, but Branch had been bumping Lee for ages saying he owed so much when he was putting stuff in the work.
"Then coz Branch speaks to Zest, it's half brought everything to the surface. There's been murder again, Branch saying he was coming down." Mr Greaney earlier told jurors that Witham and another man, "driver" Joseph Peers, were "dispatched" to assassinate Harrison and "leave no witnesses". They had allegedly received their orders from Barry, Zeisz and Ian Fitzgibbon - who were said to have been "directing operations" from a flat on Pilch Lane in Huyton.
