The telecoms giant has warned customers to be on high alert and given some sound advice to keep people safe online.
Virgin Media has issued an urgent warning to customers over reports of online scammers targeting their customers.
“The sender’s name may look legitimate, but often the email address will contain a small spelling error or could simply be a random assortment of numbers and letters.” Next check the font, logo and identity matchVirgin’s official emails, rogue messages often feature logos that are pixelated or fonts that don’t look quite right. Another thing to remember is Virgin will never ask you to click on a link and enter data such as user names and passwords.
