Three Rivers residents can give their views on the South Oxhey Playing Fields Greenspace Action Plan .
South Oxhey Playing Fields is a large area of open green space between Sandy Lane and Prestwick Road, which is well used for dog walking, walking, children’s play, and sport.
Hertfordshire County Council's Countryside Management Service is currently working with Three Rivers District Council to develop a new Greenspace Action Plan to plan out improvements it will try to make over the next five years.There is specific detail on a large and varied plan for planting within the space, with maps to demonstrate where vegetation would go.
Improvements in the plan include improving the visibility of less prominent entrances, adding features of interest including supplementary signs celebrating the site’s heritage, designing and promoting walking routes, and establishing a wildflower maze.We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
