Verstappen will be arriving in Saudi Arabia on Friday after being delayed by an illness that has made the F1 world champion skip today.
The Red Bull driver has been suffering from a stomach bug for the past few days, and that has meant he has been unable to travel to Jeddah up until now.
"Feeling fine again, after not being fit for a few days because of a stomach bug," said the Dutchman. Verstappen's ability to be ready in time for Friday practice is helped by the fact that the timetable for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix runs to a night schedule.
