Manchester United defender Raphael Varane described the injury that forced him to be substituted at half-time against Brentford as "not too bad" when heading for the team bus.
Harry Maguire was sent to warm up during the interval and he subsequently replaced Varane. There were no United players willing to speak in the mixed zone after the game, but Varane provided a succinct update on the issue he sustained when leaving the stadium.Varane has suffered foot, leg, ankle, hamstring, muscular and groin injuries since signing for the club, but he's been available for selection for the majority of this season.
United signed Varane from Real Madrid for £42million in August 2021. The 30-year-old has made 91 appearances in Manchester and he's won the Carabao Cup.
