A van has been crushed after it caught on a hidden camera being used for fly-tipping near Manchester United's training ground. The Ford Transit was recorded on four separate occasions being used to dump rubbish in a lay-by on Manchester Road in Carrington.
Checks were made with the DVLA to find out who owned the van, but it was found to be unregistered. But CCTV operators managed to track it to Partington, where council officers found it on Wood Lane.READ MORE: Parts of UK will be able to see a solar eclipse next month Coun Stephen Adshead, from Trafford council, said: "Let this be a warning to anyone thinking of blighting our communities by dumping waste. We will use whatever powers we have available to us to stop fly-tipping in our communities.
"If we see it, our officers will not stop investigating. You can either dispose of waste properly or you can face a fine of up to £50,000, imprisonment and having your vehicle seized and crushed.
