The board voted unanimously on Monday night after discussing the decision in closed session but didn’t comment on it publicly or issue a statement afterward. Patterson said on Tuesday that board members didn’t want to introduce another big change to the district during the school year, considering the tumult it’s been through.
He said he agreed with making stability the priority, adding, “I’m very committed to this job. It’s a very special place.”
