From tutoring to finding translators, Athletics United helps with the transition any way that it can.
Starting over isn’t easy. There’s a new country, new language, and new life. That’s why a running group in Logan, Utah, is looking to make the transition a little smoother., has evolved since it was created in 2017. Initially, it was started as simply a way to connect and help refugees who were finding their way to the Utah town of around 50,000.
The year is mixed between track and field and cross country, depending on the weather. Meets include both running and field events . But, hump day isn’t the only day the group meets. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they meet at the public libraries with teachers from the community for tutoring.
