Colin Powell, qui a dirigé l’armée américaine pendant la guerre du Golfe en Irak en 1991 et qui a ensuite dirigé le Département d’Etat sous la présidence de George W. Bush, a déclaré que Donald Trump s’était “éloigné” de la Constitution américaine et qu’il représentait un danger pour le pays et sa démocratie.
Colin Powell est le dernier ancien haut gradé de l’armée en date à critiquer l’attitude de Donald Trump dans le sillage du vaste mouvement de protestations provoquée par la mort, le 25 mai dernier, d’un homme noir non armé dans le Minnesota.
