A restaurant in the US is adding an 'adult surcharge' to the bill of customers who are unable to control their children. The charge, which is hidden at the bottom of the menu, is $50 and is applied to customers who fail to show respect and proper parenting. Some customers were surprised to find the charge on their bill, as they believed their children had behaved well during the meal.

Hidden away at the bottom of its menu, the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant tells its diners of its 'adult surcharge' - adding three dollar signs next to the words: 'For adults unable to parent'. The menu adds: 'No respect, no service.
