Aylin Baughman, 39, of Upper Arlington, could choose a black Ford Explorer Platinum hybrid SUV or a $55,575 check. She took the money.
Howie Guja and Loren Williams stood on the front porch of an Upper Arlington home Friday afternoon, ready to surprise their latest winner.
But things took an unexpected turn when it wasn't Aylin Baughman who answered the door. It was her 38-year-old brother, Sinan, who looked confused as the pair introduced themselves and he noticed the camera crew in the yard."No, she's at work," Sinan said, still not quite understanding what was going on.
On Friday afternoon, the Prize Patrol waited in the parking lot of Lennox Town Center with a black Ford Explorer Platinum hybrid SUV — which Aylin, 39, could choose instead of the cash — as Sinan went inside one of the stores. Aylin said she began entering in the Publishers Clearing House drawings around 2006 after seeing her mother play. But her mother's luck was limited, as she only won $10.
