New York City mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that there are over 800 coronavirus cases and seven deaths within the five boroughs, and will make a decision on a “shelter in place” order within the next two days, as the number of infections continues to climb.
De Blasio also said that a decision to issue a shelter in place order would happen within the next 48 hours, adding that New Yorkers will face “tremendously substantial challenges” if one is enacted.
