Police say they and fire medics were called to the 3500 block of McGehee Place Drive South shortly after 7:00 this morning. That is just off McGehee Road, across from the old Montgomery Mall.
They found 22-year-old Destiny Reynolds of Montgomery who had a life-threatening gunshot wound. She later died. Police say the suspect, 21-year-old Gerald Wells, Jr., of Montgomery was taken into custody at the scene.Wells was charged with murder and taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility and held under a $1,500,000.00 bond. Police ask anyone with any information related to this homicide to contact Crimestoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 625-4000, or MPD at 625-2831.
