United Airlines plans to reduce the number of daily flights at Newark airport to avoid the cancellations and delays travelers have experienced this summer.
But an expert interviewed by NJ Advance Media said the plan could have ripple effects on travelers, including higher airfares.
The airline is working on implementing several changes at Newark that include bringing United’s schedule down to about 390 flights a day.
