New character posters for TheUmbrellaAcademy season 3 introduce the Sparrow Academy members Marcus, Ben, Fei, Alphonso, Sloane, Jayme, and Christopher.
The Umbrella Academy season 3 character posters have been released, introducing each of the seven members of the Sparrow Academy. The Umbrella Academy is a Netflix series based on the comic books series of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. The series follows the seven superpowered adult Hargreeves siblings as they strive to save the world from the apocalypse.
Details regarding the third season of Umbrella Academy have been fairly sparse so far. It has been a year and a half now since Umbrella Academy season 2 premiered, and season 3 still remains without a release date. However, the cast has confirmed that Umbrella Academy season 3 has wrapped filming. Meanwhile, Netflix has also confirmed the season 3 episode titles, as well as that the season will release sometime in 2022.
The Sparrow Academy was briefly introduced at the end of season 2 when the Umbrella Academy arrives back to the present after a stint in the 1960s. However, their antics in the 60s seemingly caused a change in the timeline, leading Sir Reginald Hargreeves to found the Sparrow Academy instead of the Umbrella Academy. The timeline change also led to their formerly deceased brother, Ben, to still be alive and a member of the Sparrows.
The character posters are quite exciting and reveal further what kind of atmosphere the Sparrows bring with them. Viewers can immediately see that this group is quite a bit more roughed up and hardened than the Umbrella Academy is. Number 3 and 4 both have quite noticeable scarring on their faces, but 3 looks more mysterious while 4 is more menacing. Most intriguing is probably Christopher's poster, which gives viewers a closer look at the non-human Sparrow Academy member.
