Gallagher stepped down from his role as Derry manager prior to the Ulster Final in May after allegations of domestic abuse were made against him by his former wife Nicola Gallagher
Ulster GAA has said it will consider the findings of the McGibbon Safeguarding Review Report, which was prompted in the wake of domestic abuse allegations against former Derry senior football manager Rory Gallagher.
In a statement at the time, Gallagher, who denies the allegations, said: "I have advised Derry GAA that I am stepping back as Derry senior football manager with immediate effect. This decision is borne out of a desire to protect my children from the ongoing turmoil. They will always be my priority."The Oak Leafers went on to retain the Ulster title with interim boss Ciaran Meenagh at the helm before narrowly losing out to Kerry in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final.
On Wednesday, Ulster GAA stated: “We commissioned an Adult Safeguarding Review in July 2023 to examine our response to adult safeguarding practice, particularly when concerns are raised with us in relation to domestic violence and abuse.
