The Christmas ceasefire that wasn't
The city of Bakhmut has continued to see Russian strikes despite a 36-hour ceasefire unilaterally called by RussiaThe drive from Kostyantynivka to Bakhmut is like dropping off a cliff of civilisation.

Russian forces are on the eastern edge of the city a little over a mile away. They've thrown everything at trying to take Bakhmut since the summer in an attempt to push further west, but the city hasn't fallen.
