Mr Straw said he agreed with Lord Ricketts, who was Cameron’s adviser on national security and a senior former British ambassador, that arms sales should be suspended to pressure Israel to stopping the killing of civilians and aid workers.that although Israel was responding to the “unprovoked atrocity” of the 7 October Hamas terror attack, “it is clear that Netanyahu’s strategy is not working and it’s inhumane”.
“I share the view that Peter Ricketts shared this morning that the time has come to suspend all arms sales to Israel.
