UK ice hockey club, the Nottingham Panthers, have released a heartfelt statement following the news of Adam Johnson's death, who tragically passed away during a game on Saturday.blade after a coming together with a Sheffield Steelers' player, who was attempting to tackle one of Mr Johnson's teammates.
Witnesses have since described how players from both sets of teams formed a ring around Johnson on the ice, to help protect him from the public view. It read: “The Panthers would like to send our thoughts and condolences to Adam's family, his partner, and all his friends at this extremely difficult time.
"The Panthers would like to thank everyone who rushed to support Adam last night in the most testing of circumstances.
