UFC mixed martial arts fighter Jeff Molina became the first openly out LGBT male UFC fighter after coming out as bisexual onThe tweet was prompted by the leaking of a private video showing Molina engaged in a sex act on Thursday.Molina continued by saying that he had not wanted to come out in this way, but that his chance to choose when to reveal his sexuality had been taken from him.
“The thought of my buddies, teammates, and people I look up to looking at me different let alone treating me different for something I can’t control was something I couldn’t fathom,” Molina wrote.In June 2022, after receiving backlash for wearing the UFC’s pride month shorts, Molinaout the critics saying “I just thought in 2022 people would be a little more open-minded and not pieces of [expletive]. But I guess I was wrong.
Molina’s coach, James Krause, is under investigation for suspicious betting around a Nov. 5, 2022, fight between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke.
