Rousimar Palhares was let go by the UFC following his 31-second victory over Mike Pierce at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields back in October 2013.The Brazilian, however, held onto the submission for several seconds following Pierce's tap, with the American fighter yelling in pain as referee Keith Peterson intervened.
It's not the first time Palhares has refused to let go of a submission as he received a 90-day suspension for a similar incident in 2010 when he beat Tomasz Drwal.Rousimar Palhares during his UFC bout against David Branch.
