Uchi's sister restaurant will open its first location North Texas at Legacy West.

Austin-based Japanese restaurant Uchiko will open its first Dallas-Fort Worth location at Legacy West in Plano, according toThe filing details a $3 million renovation and alteration that will begin at the Legacy West location in January 2023 and is slated for completion in August 2023. The restaurant will occupy 7,041 square feet.'s Uchi, an Austin-based fine-dining Japanese restaurant that serves a non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine.

The architecture firm behind the restaurant design and renovations is Irving-based ID Studio 4. The firm alsoAustin-based restaurant group Hai Hospitality is the parent company.
