The Houston Police Department responded to a shooting Sunday night where an Uber driver was shot in the hip by his passenger.An Uber driver was shot by his passenger following an argument Sunday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
After authorities arrived around 10:40 p.m. the driver was taken to an area hospital where his condition was stabilized. The passenger had first requested the driver take them to a gas station at 2724 Quitman St., but after arriving, insisted they be taken to a different spot, Houston police told On Scene reporters. The Uber driver refused to go to the second location and the passenger pulled out a gun and held it to the driver’s leg.The passenger demanded the Uber driver hand over his phone and car, authorities said. When the driver refused, he was shot in the hip area.
