Coco Gauff is facing Aryna Sabalenka in the women’s singles final at the U.S. Open, the year’s last Grand Slam tennis tournament.
The sixth-seeded Gauff is playing in her second Grand Slam final after she was the runner-up at last year’s French Open. Her game is peaking after she lost in the first round at Wimbledon this summer.
Sabalenka, the No. 2 seed, is also playing in her second Grand Slam final but has been in top form all year, reaching at least the semifinals of all four majors. Win or lose, she will overtake Iga Swiatek for the top spot in the WTA rankings.
