Turns out we Scots might not be as friendly and welcoming as we think
It's often a common opinion that the people in Scotland are as friendly as they come - always up for a chat, willing to give directions and generally just being pleasant to those we meet.
Data from the online learning marketplace Preply conducted a survey amongst the 19 largest metropolitan places in the UK to find out what the rudest cities were - and two Scots destinations unfortunately made the list. Some of these unpleasant habits that were most common during the experiment were people being absorbed by their phones, being noisy in public, and not acknowledging strangers.
Edinburgh in particular was notorious for people not looking or smiling at strangers, being the third most common city to display this kind of behaviour.
