A third person has been left in a critical condition after being shot in the chest.
The incident has left two people dead and three people injured A shooting at a car park outside a McDonald’s restaurant in France has left two people dead and three injured. The incident took place in Marseille at around 11pm yesterday, on the Chemin du Littoral road which runs along the coast in the southern city. BFM TV reported that police discovered a car with five people on board, of whom the 23-year-old driver and a passenger, believed to be a man and a woman, had been killed.
There was also reportedly a woman who lost a thumb in the incident and another man who had been hit by bullet fragments. Nicolas Bessone, Marseille’s chief prosecutor, said: ‘The five people were in their car in the car park of a McDonald’s when a vehicle pulled up alongside, killing the driver and the front passenger with bursts of fire from a Kalashnikov.’ Bessone said the three men in the car were known to be involved in the local drug trade, while the women had no criminal record.
