Police confirmed that they had attended to assist fire crews
Emergency services rushed to the scene at a four-storey tenement on Fairlie Park Drive in the city's Partick to tackle a fire in a first-floor flat.
Five fire engines and one height vehicle were dispatched, and images show the area taped off by crews.The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two people were placed in ambulance care. A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.14pm on Tuesday, July 12 to reports of a dwelling fire at Fairlie Park Drive, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised five fire appliances and one height vehicle and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the first floor of a four-storey tenement building. “Two casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
