Based on Victor Wembanyama's impressive preseason play, two NBA Hall-of-Famers said the hype surrounding rookie is real and that the Spurs are once again playoff contenders. The comments came Friday during an episode of Kevin Garnett's KG Certified podcast.
2008 NBA Champion Kevin Garnett predicts that Jeremy Sochan, Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs will make the playoffs this season.
"Right now, today, is one of the top-five skill players in the NBA," Pierce said."In the small sample, he has shown me the handle. He's shown me the stepback. He has shown me the lob, the pick-and-roll and the pick-and-pop threat. He can get the ball in traffic and drunk over everybody."
