The suspects, Markez Anger and Londell Falconer Jr., were trying to target someone else when they drove by a car near PPG Place and fired into a vehicle.

The two were found guilty of first-degree murder in a bench trial Wednesday morning. Even though it’s not clear when the two will be sentenced, the maximum penalty for the charge in Pennsylvania is death or life in prison, according to reports.

Dea’Shea Green, the child’s mother, was with her son when the two opened fire. It was determined that Green and her baby were not the intended targets but unfortunately, the incident resulted in the child’s death.A little over a year later since Thomas was killed, Darden, De’Avery’s godfather plans to turn the former Imagine Penn Hills Charter School into a safe place for kids in honor of his godson.

Darden runs an organization called Young Black Motivated Kings and Queens.
