Two drivers who were allegedly street racing in a pair of Lamborghinis crashed in Denver on Thursday night and both men were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Police identified the drivers as 28-year-old Hunter Carter Hinson, and 32-year-old Alexis Marquis Doyal. The car Doyal was driving burst into flames.
Both drivers were taken to Denver Health Medical Center. A 9mm handgun was found on the floorboard of the passenger seat in the car that Hinson was driving, police said. The gun magazine was found in the intersection near the vehicle crash. Both men were arrested on investigation of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and speed exhibition, police said. Hinson is also being investigated for prohibited use of a weapon under the influence; Doyal for failure to display proof of insurance and DUI alcohol. Both men were in the custody of the Denver Sheriff Department at the hospital.
