Two people suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment
Officers were called at 7.38pm last night after reports of a collision between two cars on Renacres Lane, Halsall. As well as the police, Lancashire Fire and Rescue also attended the scene.READ MORE: A570 Southport Road in Ormskirk closed after early morning crash
A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to Renacres Lane, Halsall, at 7.38pm on Tuesday, after a collision between two cars. "Two people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of one of the cars left the scene and enquiries are continuing to trace that person."
Two fire engines from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk were called to the scene and used cutting equipment to release one person from the vehicle. A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire engines from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Renacres Lane, Halsall. Firefighters used cutting equipment and worked with paramedics to release one person from a vehicle. Two people were taken to hospital by paramedics."
