Fans of the classic RPGs Grandia and Grandia 2 should keep an eye out later this month, as the Grandia HD Collection is launching on Xbox.
GungHo Online Entertainment has announced that another contender for our list of the best RPGs on Xbox will arrive on March 26, when the Grandia HD Collection releases on Xbox. Both Grandia and Grandia 2 are bundled into the collection, remastered for modern consoles, so you can relive the adventures of Justin and Ryudo on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. We don't have the Grandia HD Collection achievements yet, but we'll let you know when they arrive.
As for Grandia 2, it originally launched on the Dreamcast in 2000 before making its way to PS2 in 2002 and built on its predecessor by including enhanced 3D visuals and a fresh battle system. Instead of Justin, the protagonist in this sequel is Ryudo, a mercenary tasked with protecting an acolyte, Elena, as they embark on a mysterious adventure. While it's been a very long time since I played it, Grandia was an excellent RPG on the PS1, so seeing it return remastered on Xbox is fantastic.
