Two bodies found in Lake Erie on Monday were identified as men who went missing Friday while fishing.
Elce Malik-Bey, 44, and Raymond Lumpkin, 45, were found dead in Lake Erie near East 55th Street Marina on Monday morning, according to the office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner.
This incident was not reported as a homicide, but the cause of death is still pending, Chris Harris, a spokesman for the medical examiner, said.went missing following a family gathering Friday, police said. Malik-Bey and Lumpkin left the event, but their family members told officers on Saturday that the men never returned, police said.
Metroparks police found the vehicle they had been traveling in at the East 55th Street Marina. Cleveland police contacted the U.S. Coast Guard and searched the marina before finding the bodies of both men Monday morning.
