Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young council worker, 28, was shot dead in her own back garden.
Another man, 25, from St Helens, has been taken in for questioning on suspicion of assisting an offender.Ashley was found with a gunshot wound in the garden of her home in Old Swan on August 21. The victim’s family have said they ‘couldn’t have been more proud’ of the ‘loving, kind and articulate’ young woman, who worked as an environmental health officer for Knowsley Council.
