Jack Turner stole the show at the M&S Bank Arena as he maintained his perfect professional record with a first-round knockout of Adam Yahaya on the Jack Catterall vs Jorge Linares undercard.
With a reputation as an explosive puncher, there was a heavy sense of expectation in the air as he entered the ring, and true to form, he flew out of the traps at the sound of the opening bell and swarmed Yahaya. Yahaya failed to beat the count, and the contest was stopped, sending the home crowd into raptures. Speaking in his post-fight interview, Turner labelled the fight as one of the best nights of his life, while trainer McNally sang the young fighter’s praises, claiming he was destined for the very top.
“Hopefully we can get a tougher opponent as I go along in my career and see if I can get the rounds in, but I believe I flatten the lot of them. I believe I will run through it and be world champion. That is what I believe."
