“He’s the leader America needs in 2024,” Tommy Tuberville, Alabama’s junior senator tweeted Thursday night. “That’s why I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States!”
just before Tuberville’s Republican primary runoff against Jeff Sessions, the former Alabama senator and ex-Trump attorney general who drew the anger of his former boss., Tuberville cited his familiarity with the former president and Trump not needing on-the-job training for preferring him over other potential GOP presidential candidates.
“You know what you’re getting with President Trump,” Tuberville said. “He doesn’t have to learn the ropes. He knows the ropes. He won’t be running again . I like someone who will come in and say, ‘Listen, I don’t care. I will do what’s good for America.’”at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on Tuesday. “In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said. “I am running because I believe the world has not yet seen the true glory of what this nation can be.”
